Every year, between mid December to the first week in February, around 540 Beehives are flown into our land by Helicopter to harvest the valuable Manuka Honey.
We use “Mana Kai Honey” from Awanui (located at Ninety Mile Beach) as our beekeepers. They are very experienced and excellent to deal with.
The beehives are taken back to Awanui where the honey is extracted and put into 300kg Drums and stored for a year to mature.
The honey is eventually treated and packed into containers for resale
